Beyonce Knowles’ Diet and Exercise Secrets: Get a Bootylicious Body

Beyonce Knowles is Bootylicious personified. The 29 year old, doe-eyed stunner has successfully made the transition from music to film. Aside from being the First Female Artist to have a #1 single simultaneously in the U.S. and U.K., she also owns one of the most coveted and envied bodies in the world.

"I love my womanly curves, I could never imagine myself without it." Beyonce shares. "I exercise so I don’t lose them."

Beyonce-Knowles.jpgBeyonce Knowles’ diet adheres to the low calorie eating plan. She takes in a lot of green vegetables every day and stays away from consuming alcoholic beverages, bread and meat. 

Beyonce once tried the Master Cleanse Diet to prepare for her role as Deena in the hit movie Dreamgirls.

The diet was said to cleanse the body from toxic substances and eliminate food cravings. The cleansing process usually takes 10 days to finish and only allowed her to consume a liquid diet of lemon juice, Maple syrup, cayenne pepper and water.

” As soon as it was over, I gained the weight back.”she shares. "That got me a bit cranky."

Beyonce Knowles’ exercise regimen includes biking, dancing, cardio, strength and resistance training to tone her muscle groups and increase her stamina. She also runs at least 5 times in a week, completing a four mile jog in just 40 minutes.

Once a week, she does yoga classes to strengthen and tone up her body.

“Every time I take a yoga class, I want to cry." Beyonce shares. "I don’t know if it’s because I’m relaxing, or if it’s that by the end of the class, your body can do things it couldn’t do in the beginning, so you feel accomplished and emotional. It’s really therapeutic”
