You get proteins from red meat and they contain tyrosine, and amino acid that stimulates the brain.

Eat foods that contain tryptophan, an amino acid that helps produce serotonin. Your brain calms down and the sleep you get is a more natural one. You will enjoy a much better night sleep. You can get tryptophan from milk, fish, turkey meat, cottage cheese, bananas… It seems that the classic glass of milk could work. Instead of eating pork, beef or chicken meat choose to eat some grilled turkey with a raw salad. You can also eat a bowl of cereals with milk or yogurt.

Don’t drink lots of beverages and liquids before going to sleep. If you have to wake up and go to the toilet frequently won’t help your body rest and you will feel tired in the morning. Also avoid drinking beverages containing caffeine: coffee, sodas, teas. Chocolate also contains caffeine.
