Raw FoodOne of the biggest trends in the diet world today is the Raw Food Revolution. This diet consists of eating foods raw, meaning that nothing gets above the temperature of 115 degrees Fahrenheit. The diet is almost strictly plant based, with most of the foods being eaten on a daily basis being fruits and vegetables.
This diet was created on the basis of believing that when foods are cooked above a certain temperature that the essential nutrients and minerals are lost to the heat. Those who believe in the Raw Food Revolution state that you get more nutrients, vitamins and minerals by ingesting a food raw as it came from the earth.

The diet’s roots can be traced all the way back to the 1800s. Dr. Maximilian Bircher-Benner is credited with creating the idea of the Raw Food Diet, or Raw Foodism. He found that he could cure his jaundice simply by eating raw apples. He then put the practice to work by trying other raw foods to see how they affected his health and wellness.

While the raw food diet has gained incredible popularity in the last few years, there are very few people who follow a 100% Raw Food Diet. It is possible to do so, though it requires quite a bit of planning, foresight and use of multivitamins to make sure that you are getting all that you need out of your diet.

Most people who take part in the Raw Food Diet only do so for certain meals. They will often do breakfast and lunch as raw food meals, choosing to let dinner be a cooked meal so that they can seek out the other nutrients they need, sometimes through eggs and lean proteins like chicken, fish and other meats that cannot be safely consumed without being cooked.

Whether or not the Raw Food Revolution is safe for you depends entirely on the foods you are eating while taking part in the diet. As long as you are eating fresh fruits and vegetables, the Raw Food Diet is a safe and effective way to control your food intake and to lose weight. But there are certain foods that are not safe to be eaten without being cooked to a safe internal temperature beforehand. These foods include things like fish, chicken, pork and beef. Eggs are another food that should not be eaten until it has reached a safe internal temperature for your health and safety.

If you are looking for an effective way to change your diet and your outlook on food, then the Raw Food Revolution may be the right choice for you. As long as you are willing to take the extra preparation time and be conscious and safe with what foods that you eat raw, you will begin to see results in a very short period of time. By eliminating foods that are heavy in fats and the chemicals from processing you can help your body to detox out the chemicals and lose weight.
