Liposuction Prices: The Real Price of Liposuction

Health & Motivation

Going under the knife to lose weight should only be done in extreme cases. The liposuction prices are also high enough to make you think twice about opting for liposuction. It is true that liposuction is the fastest way to lose weight nut it costs a lot. And I’m not talking only about money.

The ultimate price you might pay for undergoing a liposuction procedure is you life. Unfortunately it is true. You can die while the doctor is sucking all the fat away from your body. You have to keep in mind that liposuction is an operation, and operations entail a certain degree of risk. The truth is that most patients that undergo any surgical intervention die not because of the intervention itself, but because of the anesthesia they receive.

The second liposuction price you pay is a whole lot of pay. Believe me, I have spoke with some persons that had liposuction done to them and they told me there is no way in hell they would do it again. The post operatory pains are excruciating as they should be considering that all the fat between your skin and muscles has been liquefied and eliminated. The process of your skin reattaching to your body isn’t a pleasing one. It hurts like a red hot iron on your flesh.

Considering those mentioned above I only recommend people that truly need liposuction to use it as a way to lose weight. If your doctor tell you that you can still exercise and eat right to lose weight do it. You will save a bunch of money and needles pain. Nut if your fat is endangering your life you should consider liposuction as a fast weight loss method.

The dollar liposuction prices vary depending on the extent of surgery needed to achieve a good result and the skill of the doctor. Usually the more skillful and highly recommended a doctor is the more money you have to give him to take care of you. This doesn’t mean that there aren’t competent doctors that are also cheap. But they don’t stay that way for long, so if you find one hire his services fast.

Here are some ranges of fees you might expect to pay for a liposuction operation:
-for your abdomen between $3,000 and $7,500
-for your arms between $1,500 and $5000
-for your back between $1,500 and $4,000
-for your breasts if you are a women between $3,000 and $7,400, and between $3,000 and $5,000 if you are a man
-your buttocks will cost you between $1,500 and $4,500
-your chin, jowls, cheeks and neck will cost you between $2,000 and $4,500
-for your waist and hips you will have to pay between $1,600 and $5,000

Now that’s a lot of money considering that you don’t pick just one part of your body to get worked on. How would you look if you had all your belly fat eliminated but your face, arms and legs are still far. You would look pretty funny. Some doctors will quote on the whole expense without breaking it down on body parts and others will tell you exactly how much each part of your body costs to get liposuction.

A word of caution: the cheapest solution can sometimes be the most expensive one. If the doctor doesn’t do the job well, it he screws it up, you will have to pay even more cash to get it fixed. Some doctors don’t take enough fat down and other take too much, making you look strange. Some don’t suck the fat evenly and make your body look like a crumpled piece of paper that has been straightened out. In the worse cases you get some ugly scars that will be really hard to make go away. So be careful which doctor you choose. Ask for some references.

My opinion is that you should avoid liposuction if you can. You can use all that money to buy a yearlong gym membership, home gym equipment, healthy food and you will still have plenty of money to go on an awesome trip with your family. Just my two cents.
