Once hailed as The Sexiest Man Alive, actor Matthew McConaughey first turned heads with his breakthrough role in Dazed and Confused before hitting the fame-jackpot in movies such as Contact, U-571, Sahara, We Are Marshall, The Wedding Planner, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Failure to Launch, and Fool’s Gold. His famed rugged looks and ultra-ripped physique always impresses the ladies, and who said a gym membership is prerequisite for attaining a killer body? Definitely not this 6 feet tall actor, who keeps in shape with his healthy, active lifestyle.

"Break at least one sweat a day." He says. "Without exercise, I feel that my head doesn’t work right. I just feel better when I work out. The body is a beautiful thing, and you should take care of it."

The low carbohydrate diet involves consuming green leafy vegetables, meats, cheeses, and fats while avoiding sugar, white flour, and starchy vegetables.

On the other hand, Matthew McConaughey’s exercise routine includes activities that keep him very active. Some of his exercise routines when he did his role in the film Sahara are cardio exercises, rope climbing and weight training.

Matthew McConaughey’s exercise routine on a regular basis includes running, surfing, swimming, bicycling, boxing, cardio exercises, calisthenics, and yoga. Gunnar Peterson was also one of his personal trainers wherein he did the “Core Secrets” workout.

“I do sit-ups, push-ups and jogging. Whether it’s going for a run, dancing or loving, my rule is break one sweat a day.” He says.
