Canadian singer-songwriter Nelly Furtado has sold over 20 million albums across the world with her soulful pipes and radio-friendly hooks. But aside from her silken voice and pretty face, she’s got another thing going for her" deliciously curvy hips set on that knockout camera-ready body.
"Looking good is part of the job. You have to be ready all the time." She says. "I have a diet and exercise routine to thank for that."
Nelly Furtado’s diet was developed by David Zinczenko, Men’s Health Editor-In-Chief, called The Abs Diet. This involves doing certain exercises while adhering to a high protein, low carbohydrate diet plan.
Nelly Furtado’s diet plan encourages intake of lots of fresh fruit, steamed veggies, plenty of water and powerhouse foods such as almonds, beans, spinach, whole grains, berries, low-fat dairy products, oatmeal, eggs and lean meats.
Nelly Furtado’s exercise routine includes dancing, walking, and weight lifting. As part of The Abs Diet, she does circuit training three to four times per week to keep her abdominal muscles in shape. The routine starts with 10 to 12 repetitions each of five different abdominal exercises with not more than 30 seconds of rest between every exercise.
"Oh, it’s tedious all right." She shares with a laugh. "But after pregnancy, I just want to work on tightening my abs again. I just miss them looking toned."
