Made famous by her breakthrough performances as Teddy Reed on the TV series Sisters and Lily Manning on Once and Again, actress Sela Ward has destroyed the myth that mature and intelligent women aren’t sexy. Armed with a pair of tantalizing hazel eyes, that perfect pout, pretty features and a sizzling body, she just keeps looking awesome year after year.

"I do feel good, I’m in good shape now because I have this intelligent exercise and eating plan ." She says.

“Thank God for Carrie Wiatt! She has raised my consciousness of healthy eating so much that it will be practiced by me and my family for the rest of our lives. I never dreamed low-fat food could taste so good!” Sela says with a laugh.

Diet designs aims to stabilize blood sugar levels by combining low-density calories with high-density nutrients and appropriately spacing meals. Every meal involves a balance of 50% – 60% carbohydrates, 20% – 25% protein and 20% – 25% fat.

Furthermore, a maximum dose of micro-nutrients like vitamins, minerals, phytochemcials and antioxidants are added to the meals to increase energy levels. Sela Ward’s diet has allowed her to lose 1 to 2 pounds every week.

Sela Ward’s exercise routine was developed by personal trainer Tracy Effinger, and makes use of the Squeeze fitness routine which involves movements that purposely tone up certain areas in the body without using any heavy exercise equipment. For instance, when she needs to do multiple arm exercise, she only has to utilize weights weighing two to three pounds.

The movements done in Squeeze fitness routine are similar to that of the Pilates, a dance floor activity like ballet, together with mat exercise. Although considered a “low-impact exercise” it has been proven to render the best results to its users. The routine starts with an upper body and waist exercise which is then followed with a lower body and abs exercise.

"Aside from the Squeeze, I also run on the treadmill for half an hour to forty five minutes." She shares. "I really love being healthy. I love all this fitness I’m experiencing."
