The health benefits of artichokes

The French believe that artichokes are powerful aphrodisiacs that can skyrocket your sex life. Artichokes contain lots of vitamin A and vitamin C and from the mineral side calcium, iron, potassium and magnesium. You can combine artichokes with any type of food, so you can eat it daily with no excuses. I really like eating them in salads, pizza or cooked in the oven. You should buy only fresh artichokes, and cook them as little as possible to preserve their health benefits.

Warning: artichokes contain a chemical compound that affects your perception of taste. That is why you should never serve wine if artichokes are included in the meal. They can give the wine a metallic or excessive sugary taste.

The health benefits of asparagus

Asparagus is full of vitamin A and vitamin B, iron, phosphor and healthy oils. It seems that like artichokes, asparagus also has aphrodisiac effects. Imagine the result of combining both foods. You should eat asparagus raw with virgin olive oil and spices.
