Hunky actor Tobey Maguire is popular for portraying the iconic role of Spiderman in the big screen. The foot 8 tall charmer’s acting chops weren’t the only thing people noticed, but also the way the tight, red and blue spandex costume fit the 35 year old’s lean and finely-sculpted frame. Here he shares and elaborates more about his diet and workout regimen, which transformed Peter Parker’s skinny nerd to buff superhero.

Tobey Maguire’s diet involves a low fat and high protein diet which is considered the best way to gain muscle mass quickly. You’ll never see Tobey eating fast foods like fries from McDonald’s and the like.

He prefers eating lean meats, whole grains, healthy starches, fruits, and vegetables and stays away from eating any fried food, candy, chips, or anything with high fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated ingredients. At the same time, he consumes one galloon of water daily to keep himself well hydrated.

Tobey Maguire’s diet likewise involves eating meals every three hours making sure he gets the right amount of healthy carbohydrates and protein to fuel up his body.

For Tobey Maguire’s exercise routine, he does cardio exercises, weight lifting and yoga. He works out at least three and a half hours daily for 6 days in a week. His routines concentrate more on building and strengthening his abdomen and his lower body as well. This is achieved through the use of oversize ball working out one specific muscle daily.

For Tobey Maguire’s exercise particularly his cardio workout, he does martial arts, cycling, plus gymnastics. He does aerobics and stretching exercises too that increase his flexibility especially his muscles. For this weight lifting activity, he does squats, dips, pull ups and push ups that helps in increasing the strength of his muscles.
