Exercise & Fitness

Humans must be active, to walk, run, and do all kind of physical activities. It is in our nature. As we breath, drink and eat to live we also must keep moving. A short walk taken a couple of times a week is an ideal way to keep your body and mind healthy. You will also feel good because your body loves movement. Scientists have proven that just 30 minutes of walking daily lowers the blood pressure and in time it can even help you shed those extra pounds.

Walk daily for a minimum of 15 minutes

Your health and physical shape should motivate you to exercise more. For some it is hard to work out for 1 hour or more, even once a week. If this is your case then you need to do whatever type of physical exercise you can every day. The health benefit of any type of physical activity is incontestable.

If you choose to walk for 3 times a week, each walk being 30 minute long, you will walk 90 minutes per week. If you will walk 6 times a week you will walk for 180 minutes per week. If you don’t like long walks you can walk daily for 15 to 30 minutes that will amount to a lot of physical activity at the end of the week. What I personally recommend are daily 30 minutes walks. That is the minimum and less intense physical exercise you can do and that you should do.

Walking helps you get a stronger heart

Movement, walking and frequent exercises can change your life and make you healthier. As we age the risk of high blood pressure and heart problems increases. Everybody is a mark. If you believe you won’t be affected you still need to get on the safe side and take preventive measures. Exercising lowers blood pressure and reduces the risk of a heart attack. Your heart becomes stronger through physical exercises and it can pump more blood with less effort. If you start working out frequently you will notice the effects in a month and you will keep the results if you keep working out. Any kind of physical activity that makes your heart beat faster is a physical exercise in my book and you should do more of them.

In conclusion being a couch potato is bad for you health. After 3 months those that go for a 30 minute walk 3 times a week have a lower blood pressure. Their waistline is slimmer and their hips look better. And their risk of cardiovascular diseases is incredibly low.
