Vanessa Minnillo’s Diet and Exercise Routine: Keeping Up with Her Fitness Philosophy

From Miss Teen USA to hosting MTV’s Total Request Live, Vanessa Minnillo is one woman worth requesting over and over. The 5 foot 7, 30 year old stunner is drop-dead gorgeous, she’s got sex appeal, an outgoing personality and a body to kill for (thanks to her healthy lifestyle) and voila! You get the complete package.

"I love food, and my dad used to say I ate like a truck driver." She says laughingly. "But today my diet is all about moderation."

Vanessa-Minnillo.jpgVanessa has been following a portion controlled low fat diet for several years now. Vanessa Minnillo’s diet encourages her to consume a lot of wholegrains, fresh vegetables and fruits, nuts, seeds, lean proteins as well as at least 8 glasses of water every day.

"I eat four small meals a day." She says. "And I substitute the not-so-healthy with healthy food, like instead of white rice, I’ll use brown rice in my burritos."

The sporty Vanessa, who grew up playing basketball and cheerleading, is also a big exercise fan. Vanessa Minnillo’s exercise routine includes cardio workouts and strength training to tone up her muscles, and flatten her abs.

She starts her routine with cardio exercises with four minutes of fast, intense cardio intervals. She then uses a set of 5 to 10 pound dumbbells and a stability ball. She completes every circuit every three times doing it quickly. To wrap up Vanessa Minnillo’s exercise, she does a tight-tummy toner workout.
